YATAGARASU SELVEDGE - Weird Guy 15 oz

Weird Guy from Naked & Famous is a classic selvedge jean made from Japanese denim, woven on traditional shuttle looms. This production method produces the distinctive selvedge edge and a dense, durable denim that develops distinct fades over time.

The denim weighs 15oz, making it medium to heavy compared to classic raw denim. The fabric is made of 100% cotton and will gradually mold to your body with use.

The Weird Guy fit has a medium rise, standard thigh space and a moderate taper from knee to leg opening. The result is a classic regular tapered silhouette inspired by traditional workwear jeans.

The denim fabric is woven in Japan, while the jeans are cut and sewn in Canada.

About denim fabric

Yatagarasu Selvedge is a 15oz Japanese selvedge denim inspired by Yatagarasu , the mythological three-legged raven in Japanese Shinto tradition that symbolizes guidance and direction.

The denim has a black sulfur-dyed warp , which gives a deep and rich black tone from the start. Underneath lies a natural white weft , and the contrast between these two threads creates a vibrant expression as the jeans wear in.

As the black color gradually breaks down through wear, the white weft thread becomes more visible. The result is clear , high-contrast fades that allow each pair of jeans to develop its own unique expression.
