1951 PB ENAMEL MUG - White

The 1951 Enamel Mug from Pike Brothers is a classic enamel mug inspired by robust coffee cups used in workshops, on construction sites, and in military field camps throughout the mid-20th century. Such cups were popular because they could withstand heavy use and could be used both indoors and outdoors.

The mug follows a traditional design with white enamel and the Pike Brothers logo printed on both sides. Its simple construction makes it suitable for coffee, tea, or other hot beverages – whether at home, in the workshop, or out on a trip.

The sturdy enamel construction also makes the mug lightweight and durable, which has made enamel mugs a classic in both outdoor life and workwear culture.

About Enamelled Steel

The mug is made of enamelled steel, where a layer of glass-based enamel is fused to a steel core at high temperature. This production method provides a surface that is both durable, hygienic, and resistant to rust.

Enamel mugs became particularly popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries because they combined several practical properties:

• low weight

• high durability

• easy cleaning

• withstands both heat and cold

Therefore, such cups were used in everything from military field kitchens to workshops and camping gear.
