23oz Tough Jeans from Big John are an extremely heavy Japanese selvedge denim in a Regular Tapered fit, developed for maximum durability and high contrast fades.
This fabric is among the heaviest in Big John's range and is designed to withstand exceptional stress. The fabric has a weight of 23oz, which gives immense depth to the indigo color and results in very defined high contrast fades with wear over time. Despite its extreme weight, the fabric is woven with a technique that maintains some flexibility, although it requires a significant break-in period. The fabric is rope-dyed to ensure that the core of the yarn remains white, which is essential for achieving the coveted vintage look as the color fades at wear points.
