Kawataro Selvedge is a unique "greencast" interpretation of the legendary Japan Heritage denim, inspired by the mythical Japanese river god Kawataro.

This jacket is made from 14.5 oz Japanese selvedge denim with a distinct "slubby" and uneven texture. The fabric is woven with low tension on vintage looms, and the combination of irregular slub yarns and traditional "rope-dyeing" causes the indigo dye to be absorbed unevenly. This results in a denim that will, over time, develop deep, three-dimensional contrasts and a wide range of blue tones.

The inspiration from Kawataro, known for his green skin, is reflected in the fabric's distinct green cast. The jacket has a classic fit designed to sit comfortably across the chest and arms. It is equipped with functional details such as integrated side pockets, chest pockets with flaps, and inner pockets. Special details such as a "Raging Kong" leather patch made of waxed leather, contrast stitching, and antique copper buttons complete the unique look.
