1943 CPO Shirt – 4.5 oz – Tijuana Brown – Pike Brothers

The 1943 CPO Shirt is a classic work shirt inspired by the attire of "Chief Petty Officers" in the US Navy during World War II. This edition in Tijuana Brown is made from a soft and structured cotton flannel, designed to withstand demanding conditions at sea.

This shirt is made from a specially developed 152 g/m² (approx. 4.5 oz) cotton flannel, woven exclusively for Pike Brothers in Portugal. After weaving, the fabric is heavily brushed to raise the fibers to the surface. This process gives the flannel its characteristic soft handfeel and a warmer surface than regular cotton, while remaining breathable and comfortable against the skin.

The design follows the authentic 1940s specification with a generous fit ("authentic fit") that ensures good freedom of movement. The shirt has two large chest pockets with flaps for practical storage and is pre-washed to prevent further shrinkage. The light flannel quality means the shirt works excellently both as a traditional shirt and as a thin overshirt in transitional seasons.
