The 1944 N1 Deck Jacket Waxed Olive from Pike Brothers, crafted from heavy waxed Jungle Cloth, is an authentic reproduction of the US Navy's most iconic jacket from World War II.
The 1944 N1 Deck Jacket was standard equipment for all US Navy personnel during World War II. This model was used in everything from the tough landings in Normandy to service on the Pacific islands, and quickly became a favorite due to its robustness.
This version is made from Jungle Cloth – an extremely tightly woven cotton textile with double threads that provides natural resistance to wind and water. Pike Brothers has applied a 3-layer wax finish here, which gives the outer fabric a unique patina over time and enhanced water-repellent properties. To ensure thermal insulation in harsh conditions, the jacket is lined with a tightly woven wool blend that retains warmth even in humid climates. The circular-knitted cuffs in the sleeves and the high collar are designed to eliminate drafts.
