RAW LEATHER BELT - Cognac Solid Brass

The LS1000 from Kalos & Sons is a classic leather belt made from heavy-duty saddlery leather, a type of vegetable-tanned leather developed for maximum durability. This type of leather is traditionally used in harnesses and saddlery, where the material must withstand high stress over many years.

The belt is made from a single piece of thick leather, providing a solid construction and a clean, minimalist look. Over time, the leather will gradually soften and develop a natural patina, making each belt unique.

The design is simple and functional, with a sturdy metal buckle and classic width that pairs well with jeans, workwear trousers, and heavy denim fabrics.

About Saddlery Leather

Saddlery leather is a type of vegetable-tanned full-grain leather traditionally used in saddles, harnesses, and other horse equipment. The tanning method produces dense and robust leather that can withstand both stretching and daily use.

Vegetable tanning uses natural tannins from bark and plants. The process takes longer than modern chrome tanning, but the result is more durable leather that ages beautifully and develops a deeper color over time.

This type of leather often starts relatively stiff but gradually becomes softer and more comfortable as the belt is used.

What is saddlery leather?

Saddlery leather is one of the most robust types of leather used in accessories and workwear. The leather is thicker than regular belt leather and is specifically developed to withstand high stress.

Due to vegetable tanning, the material has a natural surface that gradually darkens and develops a patina through use. The result is a belt that not only lasts a long time but also becomes more characterful over time.
