Big John Yoshidenim Wild Duck Jeans are a sustainable 13.5oz Japanese selvedge denim, made from an innovative blend of cotton and reed grass (Yoshi). This unique textile was developed with a focus on circularity by using fibers harvested from Lake Kojima – a material previously discarded to avoid environmental pollution. Big John has refined these fibers into a textile that combines strength with a very distinctive visual expression, characterized by natural neps and an uneven surface that adds depth to the indigo color.

The jeans are made from unsanforized (kibata) denim that has undergone a One Wash process at the factory. This means you retain all the raw character, texture, and naturally twisted leg seams (leg twist) characteristic of untreated denim, but without the risk of unpredictable shrinkage after purchase. A unique and hidden detail of this model is the camouflage-colored pockets, which match the green bar tacks stitching, buttonholes, and the distinctive green selvedge (Midori Mimi).

As a truly untreated denim, the fabric will mold to the wearer's movements and develop personal fades over time.
