The Edwin Denim Jacket Blue Rinsed is a technically crafted work jacket made from 14 oz Kurabo Recycle Denim, featuring a red selvedge edge and a deep blue finish that highlights the Japanese textile quality.
This denim jacket from Edwin is constructed in collaboration with the legendary Japanese weaving mill Kurabo, pioneers in Japanese denim production. The textile is a 14 oz Kurabo Recycle Denim, made from 100% cotton, where part of the material consists of recycled fibers. This gives the fabric a unique, slightly uneven texture and an authentic "slubby" feel found only in premium Japanese denim.
The jacket features a classic Red Selvedge edge, a hallmark of quality indicating that the fabric is woven on traditional shuttle looms. It is finished with a Blue Rinsed wash, which removes the initial stiffness and minimizes shrinkage, while preserving the deep indigo color for maximum contrast with future wear. The design is inspired by the historical Type II silhouette, with double chest pockets and characteristic pleats at the front for increased mobility.
