Big John Green Label Wild Duck Jeans 16oz is a technical surplus project with a focus on circular textile production. This denim is woven with approx. 40% recycled cotton, including so-called "fallen cotton" which is collected during the spinning process. The result is a heavy 16oz textile with an extremely neppy surface and a texture reminiscent of vintage workwear.
The garment is based on unsanforized denim, but comes in One Wash condition. This stabilizes the fibers and removes the uncertainty around shrinkage, while the textile's natural leg twist and uneven character are fully preserved. Characteristic details such as the green selvedge and specially designed "donut" buttons mark this as part of Big John's sustainable Green Label series.
This is a pair of jeans for those who prioritize fabric depth and a fade with soul. As the indigo wears away, the recycled fibers and uneven weave will create contrasts and patterns that are completely unique to this fabric.
