Naked & Famous - True Guy - Yatagarasu Selvedge 15oz

The True Guy from Naked & Famous is a classic selvedge jean made from Japanese denim, woven on traditional shuttle looms. This production method produces the distinctive selvedge edge and a dense, durable denim that develops distinct fades over time.

The denim weighs 15oz, making it medium to heavy compared to classic raw denim. The fabric is made of 100% cotton and will gradually mold to your body with use.

The True Guy fit has a medium rise, plenty of room in the seat and thighs, and a straight leg from knee to leg opening. The result is a classic straight fit inspired by traditional workwear jeans.

The denim fabric is woven in Japan, while the jeans are cut and sewn in Canada.

About denim fabric

Yatagarasu Selvedge is a 15oz Japanese selvedge denim inspired by Yatagarasu , the mythological three-legged raven in Japanese Shinto tradition that symbolizes guidance and direction.

The denim has a black sulfur-dyed warp that gives a deep and rich black tone from the start. Underneath lies a natural white weft , and the contrast between these threads becomes more visible as the jeans are worn.

The fabric is spun from short slub yarn , which gives it a slightly uneven and textured surface with subtle "hairiness." This creates more depth in the fabric and contributes to distinct vertical fades over time.
